Im Sommer wird das Orchester Open Airs geben. "Das unterschiedliche Ambiente fordert uns heraus. Licht und Show, eben das ganze Programm unterschiedlich zu gestalten": sagt Alfred Lauer. Und die Band ist für ihre Flexibilität bekannt und begehrt. Kein Konzert gleicht dem anderen, jedes Event ist der Situation angepasst. Ein Kunststück bei so einem großen Klanggebilde.

Prime Minister of Saarland Peter Mueller supports the Charitygala
Patronage of the prime minister for the benefit gala has been confirmed!
The feedback is overwhelming! The prime minister of the Saarland, Peter Müller, who is a musician himself, took over the patronage for this event. Numerous celebrities have assured their support.
Radio and TV broadcasting stations will support the band in their effort to help the city of New Orleans! Look forward to a fantastic evening! More news are to come!

Charitygala for New Orleans in Merzig
The music has lost part of its home.
The native city of Jazz is flooded. Legends and myths have been made homeless. Numerous families of musicians, who have never belonged to the well-off, are now homeless, destitute and without any future.
Traditions and friendships have not only been maintained but got stronger and closer due to this fateful catastrophe.
The Alfred Lauer Bigband has been committed to those traditions from the very beginning and will particularly now support its friends in New Orleans.
The bigband will hold a benefit performance together with the strings of the Saarländischer Rundfunk and international vocalists on the 16th of November in the town hall of Merzig. The donations will benefit the needy families of musicians in New Orleans.
Tickets are available in the cultural office in Merzig, the bookstore Philippi in Losheim, the Urlaubsinsel Merzig or in the department store Pieper in Saarlouis as well as at the band’s webpage: www.ajl.de/shopband
